Heartbeat Sounds for Premature Babies

The sound of a beating heart calms and helps the brain development of preemies. A 2015 study found premature babies exposed to heartbeat recordings in the NICU had a significantly larger auditory cortex, the part of the brain which is responsible for the development of hearing & language skills.
